
Neither effort apparently did something to dissuade the Fee from contemplating Microsoft in violation of competitors guidelines, a choice that was foreshadowed when the Competitors stated in Might that it deliberate to incorporate Groups in its inivestigation of Microsoft for anticompetitive practices regardless of the corporate’s concessions.
For its half, Microsoft plans to proceed to deal with remaining issues the Fee has over Groups because it awaits additional choices by the Fee, reminiscent of what, if any, monetary penalties the corporate will face.
“Having unbundled Groups and taken preliminary interoperability steps, we admire the extra readability offered in the present day and can work to search out options to deal with the Fee’s remaining issues,” Brad Smith, Microsoft vice chair and president, stated in a press release emailed to Computerworld.
