I’ve a 100G QSFP28 swap port that may be set to 40G. I wish to plug in a 100G QSFP28 transceiver into it, a 1 to Four MTP to LC fiber breakout cable, and fasten 4 25G SFP28 transceivers to the ends. If I plug these ends into servers with SFP+ ports, will the entire hyperlink be capable of work as a 40G to 10G breakout? My particular concern is whether or not a typical SFP28 transceiver can work at 10G in an SFP+ port and whether or not a typical QSFP28 transceiver can run at 40G (when plugged right into a QSFP28 port that may be set to 40G).
